Frequently Asked Questions

01. Is teeth whitening safe?
A: We offer the latest whitening gel approved for use in Australia. We have a hygienic non-touch procedure, meaning at NO time will a technician touch you or your mouth. Our gel is gentle and safe, so that complications are extremely rare. Teeth whitening is safe for crowns and veneers, although these will not lighten as much as natural teeth.
02. How many shades lighter?
A: Just as everyone’s anatomy is unique, the same applies to teeth, meaning each individual’s teeth will respond differently to our treatments. The average result from our teeth whitening is 6 shades whiter, although in some cases results up to 10 shades whiter can be achieved.
03. How long does a treatment take?
A: Up to one hour is all that is needed to achieve maximum results.
04. What results can be expected?
A: This depends on each individual and the extent of discoloration. As a general rule, results of 4 - 10 shades lighter can be achieved. The more stained that your teeth are, the more dramatic the result will be. It’s important to know that whether done by a dentist or other technician, teeth whitening will not whiten your tooth enamel; it will bleach the stains on the surface of your teeth. The results are also relative to how regularly you have a teeth whitening procedure or use home whitening treatments. If whitening is done every 6 - 12 months, it is considered a maintenance procedure and results will be less dramatic.
05. Should teeth whitening be done by a Dentist?
A. Teeth whitening is a cosmetic procedure that is non-dental. The products we use are gentler and just as effective as those used by the dentist. All our products are Australian-compliant and produced to the highest standards. Regardless of who performs it, teeth whitening bleaches stains on the surface of the teeth; it does not whiten enamel.
06. Is teeth whitening suitable for everyone?
A: Teeth whitening is a treatment most people want and can have, however, it is not recommended for children under 16 years of age or for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not have a teeth whitening treatment if you have gum disease or are requiring dental work.
07. How long will the results last?
A: Whitened teeth will maintain their fresh new appearance for around 3 months. Re-staining depends largely on diet and lifestyle. All staining foods and beverages such as smoking, coffee, tea, fruit juice, and sodas will eventually re-stain the surface of your teeth. We recommend that you avoid these staining agents for at least three hours following your teeth whitening treatment to ensure long-lasting results.
08. Is LED Technology effective?
A: Compared to other whitening methods, LED Cosmetic Teeth Whitening produces better and faster results. Depending on the shade and condition of your teeth, our LED Cosmetic Teeth Whitening can whiten teeth up to 4 - 9 shades.
